Telangana delegation meets Union Ministers, discusses projects

The News Minute| June 27, 2014| 10:50 pm ISTNew Delhi: A delegation of special representatives of the Telangana government and TRS MPs today met Union Ministers seeking implementation of projects in the state.The delegation held talks with Railway Minister Sadananda Gowda, HRD Minister Smriti Irani and Textiles Minister Santosh Gangwar and discussed projects that had been promised in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act and new initiatives required for the state.The delegation has requested for the early commencement of a wagon manufacturing unit and setting up of a divisional headquarter at Kazipet. It also sought a coach factory as mentioned in the AP Reorganisation Act. Two new trains connecting Secunderabad to New Delhi and to Nagpur must be introduced, he added. The HRD Minister was requested for the Tribal. This was also mentioned in the aforementioned Act.During its meeting with Gangwar, the delegation pressed for a textile mill in the state.
