A 'war of words' erupted again between Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday. Speaking in Rajahmundry on Tuesday about the construction plans of Amaravati, Naidu said that the people of Hyderabad had "a culture of sleeping late and getting up late," seemingly hinting at laziness, while adding that TDP founder and former chief minister N T Rama Rao was responsible for changing it. Responding to this, KCR, who was speaking at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad, said, "I do not mind if anyone says something to me, but I will not keep quiet if anyone insults the people of Telangana." He went on to say that the statements and provocations were unnecessary and the two states could just let each other be. According to reports, KCR also said "We want the Andhra Pradesh capital to come up and thrive. So go there and build it and work for the people of that state. Just leave us alone and let us lead our own lives."
