Hyderabad: Madrassa teacher on the run after allegedly sodomising 15-year-old boy

Hyderabad Police is on the lookout for a madrassa teacher in his late twenties, identified as Mohammed Rayees for allegedly sodomising a 15-year-old boy in the garb of taking him out for sightseeing on August 28.

The SHO of the police station told The News Minute that a case has been registered under section 377 (unnatural sex) and POCSO Act.

The incident was reported to police when the boy was taken ill and spoke about the ordeal to his parents on Tuesday as he returned home on the occasion of Eid.

Deccan Chronicle reported  AP Balala Hakkula Sangham, an NGO working for child rights and education called for shutting down of the institution and the transfer of all students to the local  government school.

According to the DC report, the teacher who is on the run joined the madrassa only a month ago.
