Chiranjeevi's shoulder surgery postpones shoot of film ‘Kaththi’

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who underwent a surgery on his right shoulder last month in Mumbai, is set to undergo another surgery, this time on his left shoulder.

As a result of the surgery, the shoot of his 151st film, a remake of Tamil film Kaththi, has been postponed indefinitely. Unless he recovers completely from his surgery, the makers have decided not to take the film on to the floors, a source said. In all probability, the regular shooting of this project may start only in the third quarter of 2016.

It is learnt from sources that the 60-year old star has been struggling with shoulder-related problems for a while and when he recently got his right shoulder operated, he wanted to get his left shoulder operated too; however, he was advised against it.

According to a source close to Chiranjeevi, the surgery is set to take place soon after his second daughter’s wedding, which will happen next week.

Chiranjeevi, meanwhile, has been preparing for his role in the film. He has grown his moustache and currently sports a work-in-progress handlebar one. He’s also expected to shed some weight for the project, which will feature him in a double role.
