TN polls: A day before polls, PMK loses candidate to DMK

Written by : PTI

PMK candidate in Vasudevanallur (Reserved) constituency in the district Kasi Pandian on Sunday  joined the DMK, becoming the third party nominee to desert it ahead of the May 16 Assembly elections.

DMK sources said Pandian joined the party in the presence of its headquarters Executive Committee member Seenivasan.

PMK candidates in Gobichettipalayam and Nanguneri constituencies P Kuppusamy and Tirupathi Reddiar respectively have joined the AIADMK in the past few days, causing embarrassment to their party on the eve of the elections.

PMK is contesting all the 234 constituencies in the state on its own this time, projecting Anbumani Ramadoss, son of party founder leader S Ramadoss, as the chief ministerial candidate.
