No alliance with AIADMK, says Tamil Nadu's BJP

Written by : TNM

The BJP in Tamil Nadu has finally put to rest all rumours surrounding the possibility of an alliance with the AIADMK in the upcoming assembly elections.Tamil Nadu BJP president, Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday in Salem clearly said  that there would be no alliance with the ruling AIADMK party or the opposition DMK party, reported New Indian Express.Soundarajan then went on to justify meetings by BJP leaders with local government officials saying that the meetings were only to securing the ruling party’s support for proposing bills in the Parliament or over centrally sponsored plans, said the report. This statement by Soundarajan puts to rest all speculation of the possibility of an alliance between the two parties in the upcoming 2016 elections.Soundarajan also accused the ruling government of bad governance ever since the disqualification of former TN CM Jayalalithaa last year. "No new schemes have been launched and the situation is such that no honest officer can work," she said, according to Times of India.
