Man kills self in a fit of rage after murdering son over an argument

In a tragic incident, a man allegedly thrashed his son to death and then committed suicide by hanging himself near Dindigul after his son refused to go to school due to his term fees being unpaid.


Police said Ganeshan, a labourer, had asked his son, an class VIII student, to go to school. However, his son said he could not go to the private school as his term fee had not been paid and he felt ashamed to attend school without his fees being paid.

Enraged, Ganeshan allegedly thrashed his son to death, and then hanged his body from a hook in the roof at his house, police said.

The incident occurred even as Ganeshan's wife had gone to her father's house to get the money to pay the school fees, according to police.
