HC judge's daughter-in-law says she was harassed for dowry

The News Minute | December 20, 2014 | 10.23 am ISTThis yet another case where judges themselves are alleged to be found at the wrong side of the law.  Despite the police closing the case, daughter-in-law of a senior judge of the High Court of Madras has moved the court to register a criminal complaint against her husband and mother-in-law. Anootha Chandran, who married Bala Rajendra Prabhu alleged that she was harassed and tortured for dowry, Times of India reported. The All Women Police Station in Mylapore refused to register an FIR upon her complaint, she said.The counsel for the husband and mother-in-law told the court that the complaint had been closed as the allegations were found to be false by hte police.
