Coimbatore mall shuts itself down on 'Kiss of Love' rumours

The News Minute | November 24, 2014 | 9.10 amA private organisation’s plan to conduct the ‘Kiss of Love’ campaign at a Coimbatore mall resulted in the mall’s shutdown along with losses estimated Rs. 2 crore. Despite police presence outside the mall, authorities of the complex displayed a notice saying that the mall would be shut down, reported The New Indian Express. Police said that the closure was not on their orders. Earlier in the week as rumours spread about the possible campaign, Indu Makkal Katchi (IMK)said that they would protest if the campaign was organized, reported The Hindu.According to a Facebook page, the news about a ‘Kiss of Love’ function was fake and said that the real dates would be revealed soon, said the report.
