Was your phone snatched away by thieves while you were away? Did the police find it difficult to identify the culprits?

Well, if that is the case, you should listen to 20-year-old Sunaiz Rehman's account on how he armed his 'smart' phone. Two thieves made away with his phone on Sunday night but the architecture student knew he had the right security in place.

He had an inbuilt McAfee security app in his phone that automatically takes the photograph of anybody who makes three unsuccessful attempts to unlock the phone.

Rehman, in a video shot by the police for public awareness, tells you how he received a mail via the app, with a photograph of the culprit. He then handed over a printout of the picture to the city police, who helped him nab the thieves.

The email that he received had a 'Phone lost' option which he immediately selected. Following this, the app continuously updated Rehman on the phone's location whenever it was switched on. This aided the police assigned by Deputy Commissioner Balakrishnan, to track down the thieves at PM Dargah.
