With less than six months to go for the assembly elections, PMK leader S Ramadoss on Monday stepped up his attack on the current Jayalalithaa government regarding the apparently poor financial health of Tamil Nadu.

Speaking at a protest rally of tea growers, he said that he was hopeful for a positive result in the coming elections and announced that he will bring much needed change in the state once his party is in power.

He also spoke about the new policies that will be implemented once his party comes to power.

Here are the four things he said:

• "The State's finances are in the doldrums and the debt is estimated at Rs two lakh crore," he said alleging that the state's finances are in the doldrums, and further demanded the government should come out with a white paper on the financial status before presenting the annual budget.
• He alleged that that the law and order situation had deteriorated in in the four year AIDMK rule, during which there were 9,986 murders and over one lakh crimes, including thefts and burglary.
• He said that barring DMK and AIADMK, every political party is willing to accept Anbumani as Chief Minister and was welcome to join their fold. He further said that his party initially had a 40 per cent vote share which had declined after it contested polls in alliance with different parties.
• He said, the Lok Ayukta would be the first act after it comes to power and added that the party would promise free, burdenless, compulsory and quality education to all.
