After drone scare, Chennai police issue guidelines for drone usage in city

The News Minute | January 10, 2015 | 09.20 am ISTAfter a recent scare in the city when a drone crashed on to the terrace of a building in Chennai, police have framed guidelines on its usage.Coordinating with the DGCA, the police commissioner said that it was essential to to get a no-objection certificate from both the DGCA and the city police in order to fly drones in the city, reported Times of India.Regarding those who already own drones in the city, the police is collecting data on all individuals and firms.The police also said that those owning drones must reveal their possessions voluntarily.
