Following a complaint against Polimer TV on Thursday for shooting the movie ‘Theri’, CDs of the movie have been seized from a Coimbatore shop by the police on Friday.

“We came to know that Theri movie CDs were being sold in various shops on Friday morning. We were keeping a check in all the shops. Then we came to know about the CD Corner in Pothanur. We went there and pretended to be customers and found that Theri movie CDs were being sold there,” said Sampath Kumar, President of Vijay Fans Club in Coimbatore.

The fan club informed the Pothanur police and filed an FIR against the shop owner Abbas.

The fan club has also sent a letter to the Coimbatore commissioner about such incidents.

“The movie CDs are sold not only in Coimbatore but it happens throughout Tamil Nadu. We want the police to take action against it,” said Sampath Kumar.
