A 300 kg statue of Mahatma Gandhi made out of chocolate

The News Minute | January 4, 2015 | 08:45 am ISTA Puducherry local firm has sculpted a statue of Mahatma Gandhi from edible chocolate to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the leader’s return to India from South Africa in January 1915.  The statue over 5.5 feet long weighing over 300 kg was designed by a chocolate manufacturing firm Zuka which will be on display on Mission Street till Republic Day, reported Times of India. Made from edible chocolate , the statue took 18 days to be created by master chef Thankarasu Rajendran and his team . This is not the team’s first statute-making endeavour.
