'A victory like none other': Wishes pour in for PV Sindhu on her fantastic Korea Open win

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar rated star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu's win over reigning world champion Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the women's singles final of the Korea Open Superseries as a "victory like none other".

Congratulatory messages poured in for the 22-year-old shuttler as she avenged her World Championships final defeat to the same opponent to clinch her third Superseries title.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag put Sindhu in the legends' bracket saying it was "breathtaking" badminton on show.

His longtime teammate in Tests, VVS Laxman felt Sindhu and Okuhara's rivalry is turning out to be one of the greatest of all time.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu also congratulated the star shuttler PV Sindhu for her fantastic win.

The Hyderabadi overcame reigning world champion Nozomi Okuhara of Japan 22-20, 11-21, 21-18 in the women's singles final on Sunday.

The Telangana CM, in his congratulatory message, hoped that Sindhu brings more laurels to the country and the state.

Naidu said: "Congratulations to Sindhu... what a remarkable victory."

Telangana Minister for Industries and IT KT Rama Rao also congratulated the Rio Olympic silver medallist. So did Andhra Pradesh opposition and YSR Congress party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
