What happened when a python fell, post-consuming a 14 kilo porcupine

Written by : TNM

Swallowing a 13.8 kilo-porcupine may have not been a good idea for a 3.9 m long African rock python at the Lake Eland Game Reserve in South Africa.

The reserve had earlier posted pictures of the python but found out that it had died with the porcupine’s quills sticking out of its digestive tract.

And while snakes are known to consume porcupines, this particular accident happened after the giant snake apparently fell off a ledge with the porcupine firmly lodged in its belly.

Here is the Facebook post by the Lake Eland Game Reserve.
