Fast food junkies in Chennai are in for a treat as 15 more parlours are set to be opened in the city by state-run milk cooperative Aavin, that will sell a host of bakery items including pizzas, buns, cakes along with various milk products.

“The government has granted permission for 15 more such parlours across the city. Work has begun in some parlours,“ according to a senior Aavin official.

These parlours are in addition to the one opened at Virugambakkam, which was inaugurated by chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday.

“Work has started in 10 places where similar parlours will be set up. We hope to complete the work in these parlours before March next year,“ the official added.

Aavin, which is the more popular name for The Tamilnadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited, was registered in the state on February 1, 1981.
