Sushma Swaraj admitted to AIIMS for chest pain

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was on Monday admitted to the country's premier All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for chest pain.

According to sources at AIIMS, she was admitted to the old private ward of Pulmonary Medicine Department around 5 PM.

Around 10 PM, sixty-four-year-old Swaraj was shifted to the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the hospital.

"Sushma Swaraj has undergone some test for her chest pain. Reports will come by tomorrow. She is stable now," said Amit Gupta, spokesperson of AIIMS.

A senior doctor also said her condition was stable.

According to an NDTV report, doctors at AIIMS said she has been suffering from diabetes for the past 20 years. 

Swaraj is currently under observation.
