Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who is currently in the United States of America for a music tour was robbed while visiting San Francisco. She took to Twitter to say that her parked car had been vandalised and her belongings stolen.

In multiple tweets, the playback singer explained that her car had been parked when the robbery happened. It took her five minutes to even realise that items she had left in the car was missing. Police who were alerted about this theft, apparently told her that break ins were very common in the area. She said that a neighbour scared the thief and prevented further damage. A red haired girl has allegedly been caught on camera, looting her belongings.

Chinmayi further added, "I hope I get the stuff back. And seriously hope I am done with this nonsesnse. Like really. Over quota. God please go play with someone else."

She was recently targeted by the 'hacked' Twitter account of radio host and playback singer Suchitra, in a series of unsavoury tweets. In addition to this, she was forced to deal with rape threats on the microblogging site, forcing her to launch a petition to Twitter.

But Chinmayi is not the first Indian singer, to become a victim of theft in the U.S this year. In April, SP Balasubrahmanyam's passport and other items were stolen while he was on his SPB50 tour. He too took to social media to relay the information to his fans and even informed them that the Indian Embassy had been quick to replace his stolen documents.
