Shivakumaraiah’s leak plan also included CET Papers

The PU chemistry paper leak kingpin, Shivakumaraiah, who was recently nabbed, had also planned to leak the question papers of Common Entrance Test (CET), reported The New Indian Express.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), who arrested the 66-year-old on Tuesday, claimed that they came across a few transactions, which blew the whistle on Shivakumaraiah’s attempt at leaking the CET question papers.

If not for the paper leak scandal’s pinching, Shivakumaraiah and his associates would have gone ahead with the leaking by now, according to the report. Once he realized that leaking PU papers wouldn’t get him enough bucks, he tied up with educational institutions and coaching centres in the state, to go for the bigger numbers.

The police also believe that the same PU officials who helped him with the Chemistry paper leak, would have also helped him source papers from the CET cell.

Another CID official also suspected Shivakumaraiah’s hand in leaking almost all the question papers in the PU examination, the report said. “But the evidence we have procured is of Chemistry alone,” said the official.
