If reports are anything to go by, actress Parineeti Chopra, who was paid a bomb (Rs 3.2 crore) to be part of Mahesh Babu’s next bilingual project with filmmaker A.R Murugadoss, has apparently walked out for reasons not clearly known yet. The makers, according to reliable sources, have already started searching for her replacement and are said to be interested in Rakul Preet Singh, who is on a roll in Tollywood.

“Rakul has already been approached and the makers even shot a test shoot with her. The final negotiations are currently underway and she’s expected to sign on the dotted line very soon,” a source said, adding that it was Mahesh who suggested Rakul.

With the regular shooting of the project slated to start from August, the makers are busy finalizing the rest of the cast. S.J Suryah plays the antagonist and it was to keep himself available for this project, he let go off the opportunity to helm a Pawan Kalyan-starrer.

Produced by Tagore Madhu, besides three other leading studios, the film will be predominantly shot in Mumbai. To be made on a budget of Rs. 90 crore, the project has music by Harris Jayaraj.
