Pakistani forces have claimed that the 'spy drone' shot down earlier this month near the Line of Control (LOC) was from India, after a few pictures that was clicked by the drone, have emerged.

According to a report in Dawn, latest details released by the Pakistani military on the Indian 'spy drone' on Monday, allegedly 'revealed' that it was sent for reconnaissance inside the Pakistani side of LOC.

"An Indian drone (Quadcopter) mission was flown on July 15, 2015, by India in which it intruded from Indian Occupied Kashmir's, Jaurian Sector and was flying over Own Banchirian Sector (near Bhimber), when it was shot down by Pakistani troops," the newspaper quotes the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying.

The ISPR also added that one of the first images which taken by the quadcopter, after taking off from a post shows an Indian flag, which proves that it started its flight from India.

India however, has refused the charges and alleged that the drone was a Chinese one available off the shelf.

"We have seen the pictures. It looks like a Chinese drone, available off the shelf. It is not of Indian design, not of any unmanned aerial vehicle category held in Indian inventory," Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar had said.

Islamabad had summoned Indian High Commissioner T.C.A. Raghavan and registered a protest over what it called a violation of its airspace.
