Islamic State executes Iraqi news cameraman and 12 others

The Islamic State has executed one Iraqi news cameraman and along with him 12 others on Friday in places north of Baghdad.

According to relatives present there, the IS executed the 37 year-old cameraman Raad al-Azzawi, his brother and two others in public, said the PTI report.

The man,a father of three was detained by the IS and they had previously threatened to execute him as he had refused to work for them, said the report.

The IS has been executing dozens of people it suspected of having connections with the existing Shiite controlled government.

According to a local security official, nine people were executed on Friday and in another town Az-Zab, six people were executed in public view. They were executed in the market places.

When residents of the Tel Ali town burnt IS flags, the group retaliated and abducted 50 residents in the area, said the report.
