The office of a German newspaper which published cartoons carried by French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was firebombed early on Sunday morning.

According to a report in The Independent, Hamburg Morgenpost had published the cartoons like many other German publications. Rocks were thrown into the office in Hamburg through windows, followed by an “incendiary device”. The office has sustained damage, but no one has been hurt.

German authorities have said it was still unclear if the attack was connected to the attack on Charlie Hebdo. Two people have been arrested.
