Why no Malayalam subtitles for movies ask protestors at International Film Festival

The News Minute | December 14, 2014 | 13.12 pm ISTPeople went on strike on Day 3 of the Kerala International Film Festival demanding Malayalam subtitles for foreign movies that are being screened. Currently, all foreign movies have English subtitles.  They argued that in Venice film festival, if the subtitles can be given in Italian, why can not the subtitles be given in Malayalam at the film festival in Kerala.
