The News Minute | November 9, 2014 | 10:43 am IST Ten students of a government college in Kochi, Kerala, have decided to approach the court after they were suspended by the college for organising Hug of Love, an event protesting moral policing. The Hug of Love event was organised by students of Maharaja College and is said to have been a protest against the attack on a Calicut cafe by Yuva Morcha activists a few weeks ago. Read: Yuva Morcha activists vandalise cafe in Calicut after a news channel does moral policing stingThe 10 college students have been suspended for ten days for violating the rules of the college. According to an NDTV report, the students went ahead with 'Hug of Love' at the college, without any prior permission from college authorities. Students however maintain that they asked for permission, but it was denied. The students, including three girls, were suspended on charges of indecent behaviour in the campus.The event was also seen as one which went against the college's code of conduct.
