The Aluva First Class Judicial Magistrate in Ernakulam remanded Pulsar Suni and Vijeesh to 14 days judicial custody on Friday.

The duo, accused in the abduction and alleged rape of a Malayalam actor, were produced at the residence of the magistrate at around 2.30pm, as the court was closed on Friday owing to Shivarathri. They were taken to the residence of the magistrate amid high security.

According to reports, Pulsar Suni and Vijeesh have been sent to Kakkanad district jail.

Meanwhile, the investigating team has asked for the duo's custody for a period of 10 days. The court will reportedly consider the request on Saturday.

The police arrested Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, and Vijeesh on Thursday, when the duo reached the court to surrender before the magistrate.

The accused were being questioned at the Aluva police club since then. After they were forcibly arrested from the court premises on Thursday, Suni's lawyer had petitioned before the magistrate court against the police action, demanding that the accused be brought back to the same court from where they were removed.

However, saying that no cases against the accused were pending before the court, the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court ordered the central police to hand them over to the jurisdictional Nedumbassery police immediately.
