Written by : TNM

In the latest turnout of events, former Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate NV Raju confirmed that the solar scam accused Saritha S Nair had told in court that she was sexually abused. A Malayala Manorama report confirmed that the Magistrate has come out with the statement. “When asked whether someone sexually exploited her, Saritha said yes,” the official reportedly told the solar scam probe commission. However, he said that he does not remember the names she gave her, and that the statement was not recorded as it was not directly related to the case.  The High Court Vigilance Wing had also conducted a preliminary inquiry into the alleged lapses of Raju in recording Saritha’s statements. The Kerala High Court had recently issued memo of charges to Raju for alleged procedural lapses in recording the statements of Saritha, after which the staff of economic offences court sided with the Magistrate saying that no statements regarding sexual abuse was mentioned by Saritha. Sheristadar Manjusha KG and LD clerk Mary Ricymol were deposing before the justice G Sivarajan commission the other day.
