Written by : TNM

The News Minute | December 13, 2014 | 10.45 am ISTThe feud between the two left parties of Kerala – the Communist Party of India (CPI) and Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) – are out in the open again. The CPI(M) has re-published specific chapters of the book “Achutha Menon: The man and his politics” published by its leader and former chief minister E.M.S. Namboodiripad in 1992.The re-publishing has been done in the CPI(M)’s mouthpiece “Chintha,” Malayala Manorama reported. (E.M.S. Namboodiripad)The book, though portrayed the good side of the CPI leader and former chief minister C. Achutha Menon, was highly critical about his politics. The pitfalls of his government during 1969-77 were highlighted in the book.(C. Achutha Menon)Though the CPI(M) publicly maintains that the re-publication is being done to commemorate the centenary anniversary of Achutha Menon, privately they agree that it is to highlight the fallacies of the CPI in Kerala.
