Written by : TNM Staff

A currency note with a sealed UDF symbol was found from Kasaragod district on Saturday. The LDF was quick to allege that UDF was trying to influence the voters.

A 500-rupee note with a palm symbol sealed in a corner was found from a voter’s house in Uduma constituency.

“When we visited a house to collect election fund, a family showed us this. They had kept it to show us,” Radhakrishnan, a local CPI (M) leader told Asianet News. He also said that LDF would give a written complaint to Election Commission.

UDF district leadership denied the allegations and said that it was a political propaganda against them.

Kasaragod District Collector E Devdas said that as per the new Reserve Bank rules, this is an offence and police can file a case.

LDF has earlier alleged that UDF candidate G Sudhakaran planned to introduce fake voters in Uduma constituency.
