With the polls round the corner, top national leaders of the BJP will reportedly be paraded by the party for the election campaign in Kerala.

The party national president Amit Shah will arrive on April 9, while state leadership has sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence in some of the rallies.

The Times of India reports that Shah will attend a meeting of BJP leaders in Thalassery at 10am on April 9 and later inaugurate the NDA election convention in Pathanamthitta at 6 pm. “We have sought time from the prime minister's office. We are expecting Modi to attend at least three rallies in the state,“ party spokesman J R Padmakumar said.

According to the reports union ministers Rajiv Prathap Rudy, J P Nadda and Goa deputy chief minister Francis D'Souza will also attend some election campaigns in the state.

As per sources, the BJP this time will concentrate on ten constituencies, where they hope to open an account. Nemom (O Rajagopal), Vattiyoorkavu (Kummanam Rajasekharan), Kazhakootam (V Muraleedharan), Manjeswaram (K Surendran), Chengannur (P S Sreedharan Pillai), Kattakada (P K Krishnadas) and Palakkad (Shobha Surendran) are among these seats.
