Going by the affidavit filed before the Election Commission, Kerala BJP President Kummanam Rajashekharan has assets worth Rs 44,714 in cash and owns ten acres of land in his native village of Aimanam in Kottayam.

Being unmarried, he has no other asset to his name. Even the ten acres that he possesses was handed down to him by his ancestors. No immoveable asset was ever procured by him on his own, so his affidavit says.

The said land is of the non-agricultural kind and is worth only Rs 10 lakhs as per the current market price.

Most of the columns in the ‘assets’ section in Kummanam’s affidavit had to marked negative for sheer lack of a spouse.
