Sudheeran said that the campaign against liquour should go ahead and that none should get disheartened about the current setback.“There has been criticism from some quarters over the liquor policy. All those are part of such movements. Any well-intentioned act has to face setbacks. Sometimes, there will be a few drawbacks too. But there is no cause to get disheartened over that. I have confidence that we will be able to attain our goal of a liquor-free society in the future,” The Hindu reported Sudheeran as saying.The idea of prohibition in the state was a brainchild of his and by the government’s continuous dilution of the scheme and later almost abandonment, the party chief was cornered.
