Child falls to death from escalator at Lulu Mall

The News Minute| October 13, 2014| 9.00 am ISTA 15 month old girl died after she slipped off from her mother’s hands while they were on an escalator at the LuLu International Shopping Mall located at Edappally in Kochi. The incident happened on Sunday afternoon. Though the child was rushed to the nearby hospital, the doctors could not save her life.The child was identified as Zaya Fathima , daughter of Mustafa. She is the youngest among the four children of Mustafa (39) and Fathima (32). The family hails from Malappuram district and they had visited Kochi to shop at the mall.The police said that a case will not be registered as eye witnesses confirmed that it was as an accident. The body was handed over to the family after the hospital proceedings.LuLu Mall is managed by the EMKE Group, owned by Yusuffali M.A.
