Air India plane's tyres burst while landing at Thiruvananthapuram airport

The News Minute| August 16, 2014| 2.30 pm ISTPassengers on an Air India plane from Mali to Thiruvananthapuram had a narrow escape after two of the plane's rear tyres burst during landing at the Thiruvananthapuram airport on Saturday. Airport authorities confirmed that more than 150 passengers on flight IA 264 are safe. Reports suggest the pilot had informed the passengers and the air traffic control that there was a problem with the plane's tires following which the fire brigade was already standing at the airport. Other flight operations at the airport was delayed for a while following this incident
