AAP has its first electoral victory in Kerala

 In the first ever electoral victory for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Kerala, Tomy Elassery of the party has defeated Congress candidate Easappan by three votes in ward number 21 of Cherthala South grama panchayat elections in Alappuzha district of Kerala.“We consider it as a great inspiration to the party and we are sure that we will have more victories in civic body polls,” Sarah Joseph, Kerala State Convener of AAP told The News Minute.Tomy was a former president of the grama panchayat and he had resigned from the Communist Party of India.Sarah Joseph has also said that the party will extend its activities through Mission Vistaar programme in the state.“We will keep more volunteers in all the wards and Panchayats and elections will be conducted to all party positions to maintain more transparency inside the party,” she said.
