Thirteen-member select committee constituted to discuss BBMP trifurcation bill

following Legislative Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy had settled to the demand of combined Opposition of BJP and JD(S), the Council secretariat on Thursday notified that a 13-member select committee had been constituted, reported Deccan Herald.The committee will be headed by IT and BT Minister S R Patil. The Congress had earlier tried to push the Karnataka Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill - 2015 which seeks to trifurcate the Bruhut Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike had been stalled in the Council.The committee composes of five members each from BJP and Congress and two from JD(S), said the report.
