Written by : TNM

The News Minute | December 17, 2014 | 08:49 am IST After conducting a raid in the Bengaluru office of Taxi For Sure on Tuesday, Transport Department officials asked the taxi aggregator to immediately stop booking services till the company registers with the Regional Transport Authority, states a report by The New Indian Express. Taxi For Sure has around 2,000 active drivers at present.A similar such raid was conducted by the officials on the premises of Uber a day earlier, and its services were banned. 'The company believes that since it is a technology services provider which does not own the cabs it operates, there was no need for it to register with the RTA' states The New Indian Express adding that in the past, police and the RTA have made it clear that aggregators too would have to register as well.
