Six-year-old allegedly raped by two minors in Bengaluru

A six-year-old was allegedly raped by two minor high school boys in Bannerghatta, Bengaluru according to a report in the Deccan Herald. The girl who was playing with her brother and the boys, was taken to an isolated area nearby by the boys and was allegedly raped.Her brother who was on lookout for her, arrived at the scene and immediately rushed home to inform his grandparents, said the report.On being made aware of the incident, the police immediately took her to a doctor for medical examination. "A case has been registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and various sections of IPC. "Both accused are minors. One of them was arrested yesterday, while search is on for the other who is absconding," Bangalore (Rural) Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Bhanot, was quoted by the paper.
