A 12-year-old boy has committed suicide by hanging himself after being scolded by his parents on Friday.

Satish was a Class 6 student at Vidyasagar School in Chandra Layout. School authorities had complained to his parents Kumar and Killiamma who work in hotels, that Satish was naughty. They also said that Satish continuously failed to do his homework.

Following this reprimand from the school, Satish’s parents rebuked him on Friday night before setting out for some work. Satish hanged himself when he was alone at home during this time. A case has been registered in the Chandralayout police station.
