Rape survivor made to wait 3 hours naked for test in Mysore, Women's Commission demands action

The News Minute | July 22, 2014 | 2:39 PM IST A mentally challenged rape survivor was allegedly made to wait naked for more than three hours on a hospital bed in Mysore. The incident happened in Cheluvamba hospital in Mysore where the 23 year old rape survivor was made to wait after which doctors came to do tests on her. Karnataka State Women's Commission chairperson Manjula Manasa visited the rape survivor on Tuesday and inquired into the alleged delay. The commission has sought an explanation from the government doctors. Earlier the chairperson had summoned the duty doctor and sought details.
