The News Minute | November 24, 2014 | 09:00 am IST Over thirty pharmaceutical firms in Hyderabad are eager to move to Karnataka, states a report by The New Indian Express. After the division of Andhra Pradesh (AP), these firms wanted to move to the Seemandhra region from Telangana. But the continuous friction between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is said to be 'worrying' industrialists in the states. The water shortage in Andhra could also be one of the reason why firms are opting for Karnataka over AP, states the report. Karnataka is also offering several 'competing incentives to develop the backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region' to woo investors in the state. Apart from the pharmaceutical firms, a few other big companies have reportedly also shown interest in investing in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region and Tumkur, adds The New Indian Express.
