K'taka minister offers to educate kids of man who destroyed his parents' tombstone

Written by : TNM Staff

In what can be considered as a goodwill gesture, Karnataka health minister UT Khader has offered to educate the children of a man who destroyed the tombstone of Khader’s parents.

Sharif Ullal allegedly desecrated the tombstone of Khader’s parents, former MLA UT Fareed and Naseema in Ullal, Dakshina Kannada district on April 30, reported The Times of India.

Police nabbed Sharif immediately but let him go on the minister’s request.

The culprit, reportedly guilty of his act, called the minister on Monday and apologised, following which Khader advised him to be more responsible and asked Sharif to educate his children so that they too don’t follow his path.

Khader also reportedly offered to bear the cost of educating the children.

Sharif said that a few people got him drunk and coerced him to destroy the tombstone.
