Ghana national arrested for allegedly assaulting Bengaluru cop

The News Minute | March 14, 2015 | 09:40 am IST A Ghana national has been arrested by the Banaswadi Police for allegedly attacking one of the policemen who had gone to arrest him in a Bengaluru restaurant, in connection with a cheating case, states a report by The New Indian Express. The officers of the Internal Security Division (ISD) went to a restaurant in Kammanahalli on Thursday night in search for Adams Darmaig (36), who the police said, was absconding after cheating businessmen, states the report. Darmaig took a chair and allegedly hit constable Ravi Kumar. He also tried to flee but the police nabbed him. Darmaig allegedly had promised several businessmen US $1,000 (approximately `60,000) if they gave him `30,000, adds the report.
