Complaint filed against Housing Minister Ambareesh, others over land acquisition

 A complaint has been lodged with the Lokayukta against Karntaka Housing Minister M H Ambareesh, KHB Chairman S G Nanjayanamata amongst others accusing the Karntaka Housing Board of acquiring 2,220 acres of land belonging to farmers in Anekal taluk, reported New Indian Express.The complaint was filed by Members of the All Indian Commandos of Human Rights Council with Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao on Tuesday,G R Sateesh who is the head of the council has filed the plaint under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1984. The land which being acuried by KHB is close to the Bannerghatta National Park - which is categorised as an eco- sensitive zone. Therefore the violate the norms under the Wildlife Conservation Act, he said.The others named in the complaints are housing department principal secretary Sanjeev Kumar, Commissioner V Yeshvath, KIADB special land acquisition officers C Nagaraju and K H Jagadeesha, reported the paper.
