BJP hits back with 'LiarSiddu' after Congress releases Karnataka manifesto

Written by : TNM Staff

Hours after the Congress party released its poll manifesto on Friday ahead of the Karnataka elections, the BJP hit out at the party and its leaders on Twitter, alleging that the Siddaramiah government has not lived up to its previous promises.

Releasing the poll manifesto at Mangaluru, Rahul Gandhi laid out Congress’s vision for Karnataka and said that this was the Kannadiga’s “Mann ki Baat”. He said that the Congress will fulfil its promises like it did last time, claiming that 95% of the goals from the previous manifesto were completed.

The Karnataka BJP, however, took to Twitter to hit back at the Congress. In a series of tweets, the party pointed out to the ‘unfulfilled promises’ of the Congress

“Siddu says they’ve fulfilled all promises made in 2013. While RG says 90% of them are fulfilled. Apart from being inconsistent among themselves, both statements are outright lies. We are running a thread on how Cong has NOT DELIVERED AS PROMISED………,” one tweet said, with several other tweets using #LiarSiddu.
