After Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kolkata, the latest to join the list of states who are conducting tests on Maggi Noodles, is Karnataka.The Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Dinesh Gundu Rao on Sunday said that the State Health Department may soon conduct a test on Maggi Noodles and take necessary actions if it contains prohibited chemicals, reported Deccan Herald.He said he would ask the health department to conduct the necessary lab test on Maggi noodles before initiating any action. He added that the department may take up samples for testing in a week’s time and that the government would disclose the results only after examining the product.Every product in the market had to adhere to the guidelines in the Food Security Act and those found to be harmful for consumption would be banned.
