After Goa, now Karnataka govt says it may ban Sri Ram Sene

The News Minute| September 13, 2014| 9.00 am ISTThe Karnataka police have been asked to disallow moral policing in the state, and in a bid to curb moral policing, the state may consider banning Pramod Muthalik lead Sri Ram Sene, said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday."Police have been instructed to crack down on moral policing and book the repeat offenders under the Goonda act," said the chief minister.Recently, Goa government under chief minister Manohar Parrikar had made an attempt to ban the Sri Ram Sene. But eventually the government conceded that there was no legal route that could be pursued for such a ban. The Goa government had then said that it can still prevent Muthalik from entering state and starting a branch of his organisation there.
