20th century modern art’s best was on display at Bengaluru auction preview

DAG Modern that boasts of being India’s largest repository of modern masters of Indian art practice in the 20th century brought together a range of artistic expressions of close to ninety artworks from modernist masters in Bengaluru for an auction preview.

The event was organised by Delhi Art Gallery Modern and Glassbox on November 12 and 13 at ITC Windsor.

A live auction sale will take place in New Delhi on December 6, 2016 at The Leela, Chanakyapuri.

Art depicting home grown 20 th century modernism, which examined the human condition as also presented an Indian subjectivity were displayed for auction preview.

Works of Nandalal Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Jamini Roy, Raja Ravi Verma sharing space with modernist masters as M. F. Husain, S H Raza, Jeram Patel, F N Souza, Himmat Shah, S K Bakre, Ganesh Pyne and K G Subramanyan were among the exhibits
