Yuvan Shankar Raja, Anirudh set to join hands for the first time

Written by : TNM

Yuvan Shankar Raja and Anirudh, who enjoy great fan following among youngsters, are all set to join forces for the first time for a song from upcoming horror film Balloon. The song is titled Neenga Shut Up Pannunga, the catchphrase popularised by Oviya in the reality show Bigg Boss. According to director Sinish, the song will be used only for promotional purposes.

Talking to Times of India, Sinish said, “It is the first time Yuvan and Anirudh have come together for a song. Once Yuvan composed the tune for the number, we felt Anirudh would be perfect for it. When we approached Anirudh, he readily agreed. Since he was busy with other commitments, we weren't able to record the song then. We recorded this trippy, western number recently.”

The song has lyrics by Kabali Neruppuda song fame Arunraja Kamaraja, and this is also the first time he is collaborating with both Yuvan and Anirudh for a song.

“The lyrics of the song talk about the good, and the other side of love. Though the subject of the film doesn't require this song, we wanted to do a fun number as a promo song. We will be releasing this song on August 29, ahead of Yuvan's birthday; and on his birthday, August 31, we will release another single,” he said.

The film stars Jai, Anjali and Janani Iyer in the lead. The makers are planning to bring out the film by September-end.
